Russia perfidiously attacked peaceful Ukraine on February, 24. All the Ukrainians woke up at five o’clock in the morning from the rumbles of explosions. The majority of the infrastructure in Ukraine was destroyed. Many people became refugees.

Battle actions entailed considerable economic damages in Ukraine. According to the report of the Ukrainian government (statistics for June 2022), over 400 schools and 7,000 residential premises were damaged from the beginning of Russian aggression against Ukraine and from the first days of this full-scale bloody war. Over 600 medical establishments were damaged as well. It is worth noting that 101 hospitals and other healthcare premises were destroyed fully. The range of Ukrainian architectural objects, historical monuments, and cultural masterprices is still being damaged every day.
In addition to tremendous material losses, Ukraine turned out to become the most mined country in Europe. It will take a long time to demine Ukrainian territories.
During the war actions while battles in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, Mykolayiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipropetrovsk regions, more than 300,000 square kilometers were mined or unexploded shells.
In these Ukrainian regions, a large amount of fertile lands is concentrated.
Such a huge area of untreated lands in Ukraine (that are not sowed and do not take part in cultivation campaigns) can llead to famine in African countries.
Charitable organization UA SALVATION needs volunteers to carry out a mine prevention survey in the territory of Buchansky district of Kyiv region. A mandatory requirement for volunteers is the presence of experience in demining (engineering intelligence specialist). Food and delivery to the place from the city of Kyiv is provided by UA SALVATION. With your help, we will clean Ukraine of dangerous objects!
